Averting their eyes and quickening their step, New Yorkers pass thousands of the unsheltered homeless each day. The city has never found a way to accurately measure the unsheltered homeless population--they are a community that remains literally unseen. The “See Us, Hear Us” campaign confronts New Yorkers and demands that these people’s stories be read.
